Schedule for AMC's Back to the Future Trilogy Marathon Released
AMC's movie marathons have become something of a legend in the geek community. From the epic 21 hour MCU marathon to the rumors of a potential Star Wars Marathon in the build up to Star Wars: The Force Awakens, such tests of endurance have become the perfect way to salute your favorite geek movie franchise. It's no surprise then, that AMC plan on celebrating the 30th Anniversary of Back to the Future with marathon tickets to screenings of the entire trilogy at theaters across the country.

Now, details have emerged for the October 21st event, which means it's time to start rallying your fellow Hill Valley residents and get planning.

First off, here's the expected screening timings:

- Back to the Future – 4:29pm (Yes, that's the time Doc and Marty arrive in the future in the second movie)

- Back to the Future Part II – 7pm

- Back to the Future Part III – 9:30pm

The reason for the 30 minute intermissions between films isn't because AMC is being overly generous on your comfort breaks, it's actually because tickets are being sold individually for each film. But before you throw your arms up in outrage at the prospect of having to pay 3 lots of $12-15 admissions, let us tell you that the prices are greatly reduced for the marathon. While prices vary depending on where your local theater is, you shouldn't be paying any more than $8 for each screening, which may be a great deal more than the average movie ticket price from 1985 (under $4!), but is still pretty solid by modern day standards.

Check with your local AMC theater for prices and to make sure they are participating in the marathon.
