ABC Buys Sitcom About the Clean-Up Crew of the Marvel Universe
Marvel is pretty blatantly copying DC's Powerless series, as they're developing a sitcom about Marvel's "overworked, underpaid clean-up crew" at ABC.

According to Variety, the series is tentatively called "Damage Control," and will follow the under-appreciated clean-up crew that is called in every time superheroes make messes while they're, you know, saving the world and stuff:

Opening quote
They are the ones who are in charge of returning lost ray guns to their rightful owners, help to reschedule a wedding venue after it has been vaporized in a super hero battle or even track down a missing prize African parrot that's been turned to stone or goo. Sometimes the most important super heroes are the ones behind the scenes - and that's who "Damage Control" will follow.
Closing quote

The 'Damage Control' team have appeared a number of times throughout Marvel Comics history, popping up during and after important events such as the famous 'Civil War' and working alongside the X-Men. They've even had a number of limited mini-series of their own.

The series was developed by Ben Karlin, who is not lacking in comedy chops, as he worked on Modern Family and the Daily Show. He will executive produce along with David Miner, best known for Parks and Rec, 30 Rock, and Brooklyn Nine-Nine, as well as Marvel's Jeph Loeb, in case you were worried that the comic book aspect would get short shrift.

It's unclear whether the show will officially take place in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but we're guessing it will, as most of the comedy will probably be derived from the crew cleaning up after the crazy events of the other Marvel movies and TV shows.

ABC is quickly becoming the Marvel channel, as they already have Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and Agent Carter on the air, as well as the Mockingbird/Lance Hunter spin-off Marvel's Most Wanted and a mystery Marvel project from Oscar winner John Ridley.
