First Reactions to Arrow's Season 4 Premiere
The CW's Arrow season 4 premiere is less than a week away, and the first reactions to episode one are officially in - and it seems like things might finally be looking after a rocky third season.

The first season of the CW's Arrow was somewhat divisive among fans, but most seem to agree that the second season really helped to bring the show up to speed. Then there was season 3, which was almost universally viewed as a failure, so it's great to hear that the first reactions to season 4 are generally favorable. That being said, some of the things that were stated in these reactions may give some fans reason to worry.

For instance, almost everyone who found season 3 of the show to be compelling were Olicity shippers. Yet it can't be denied that the overall structure and plot of the season suffered due to their relationship. So the fact that some are saying "Olicity shippers will be very happy" and that the show is a thrill "especially…for Olicity shippers" is cause for concern. If the show runners are going to make this relationship work on the show (even if it be for a short amount of time), they're definitely going to have to do some things differently this go around.

That being said, there's still a lot to be excited about this season. The Arrow's transformation into the Green Arrow is definitely something fans won't want to miss, and seeing how the new Speedy fairs on team Arrow could be a lot of fun to watch as well. Likewise, Constantine will be appearing on the show, and seeing how he interacts with the team should be quite entertaining.

Things are definitely looking up for season 4, but keep in mind that first reactions aren't necessarily the most accurate - after all, Fantastic Four received positive first reactions as well before the reviews started pouring in, and look how it turned out. Fans can judge for themselves this Wednesday October 7th, at 8 p.m. ET. on the CW.
