'Spider-Man' Director Seems to Indicate Miles Morales Could Be in Film
We've known for a while that Peter Parker is going to be Spider-Man in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, beginning with next year's Captain America: Civil War before taking center stage in 2017's Spider-Man. But fans in some corners were sick of Peter Parker and wanted Marvel Comics' other Spidey, Miles Morales, to take over the role on the big screen. We thought we'd never see Miles in the movies, but the director of the new Spider-Man film is giving us hope with some interesting comments he made on Tuesday.

Speaking to Yahoo!, director Jon Watts was asked why the studio chose to go with Peter in the role over Miles, and here's what he said:

Opening quote
"I can't talk about that, because, you know, that will reveal too much. We're still writing the story…we haven't finished all the way through the story yet, so who knows."

OK, before we get too excited, it's definitely possible that Watts has some sort of gag rule in effect where he's not allowed to talk about anything having to do with Spider-Man, but still, his comments are pretty interesting. One would think the straight answer when asked about Miles Morales would just be, "No, we didn't talk about that, the movie was always about Peter Parker," and that's it. But by dodging the question, it really does seem like Miles could show up in the film.

So how could two Spider-Men fit into the MCU? We have no idea, but we're dying to find out.
