There's a New 'Justice League' Animated Series on the Way
DC Comics has been conquering the television landscape with live action shows like Arrow and The Flash, and now they're getting into the animation game. Cartoon Network Canada has confirmed that a new Justice League animated series is on the way, but we shouldn't expect to see it for at least another year.

The rumors of a new Justice League cartoon began after a picture surfaced online that seemed to show a poster for a new JLA series at the network's offices. The network then confirmed to worldsfinestonline.com via Facebook message that a new series is indeed in the works. Cartoon Network most recently aired Young Justice, which featured a young incarnation of the Justice League, and was canceled in 2013. The only DC animated series currently airing on the channel is Teen Titans, Go!

The news of a new Justice League animated series brings with it the hope that Warner Animation will bring back the much-beloved DC animated universe continuity. The span of well-received shows began in 1992 with the excellent Batman: The Animated Series, and concluded with Cartoon Network's Justice League and Justice League Unlimited, the latter of which was canceled in 2006.

With the success of DC's live action universe, as well as the sprawling Marvel Cinematic Universe, a DC animated universe definitely sounds like a good idea to us.
