New York Comic Con: Hasbro Unveils New Darth Revan and Princess Leia Black Series Figures
New York Comic Con 2015 was barely an hour old before it got its first exclusive reveal at the Hasbro Star Wars panel this morning. You may remember from San Diego Comic Con that Hasbro launched a huge global fan poll, asking Star Wars collectors which character they wanted to see get their own Black Series figure. That poll was one (in a landslide) by none other than Knights of the Old Republic star, Darth Revan. It's only been a matter of a few months since Revan's Black Series victory was announced, but Hasbro has wasted no time in getting to work on the figure, and they exclusively revealed their progress to a chorus of impressed noises from the crowd.

As you can see from the preview, the figure is going to require a great deal of attention to its soft materials, something that Hasbro has admitted they've not excelled at in recent years. From his hood to the quilted material around his legs, Hasbro hopes that this Revan model could be a statement piece for the direction of their series in the future.

But Hasbro weren't done there. In the very same fan poll, another Star Wars character received a surprisingly large number of votes. Star Wars Rebels' Mandalorian graffiti nut, Sabine, has become a huge hit with fans since the show's first season aired last year. It's fitting then, that Sabine will be getting her very own Black Series model, shooting her into the closest thing we have to a Star Wars hall of fame. Hasbro gave New York Comic Con another exclusive, showing us what they had in store for Sabine's entry into the series.

Hasbro also included a series of detailed looks at some of the other Black Series and traditional figures that are set to hit shelves very soon. From General Hux to the mysterious Ello Asty, the new faces of the Star Wars universe are represented in serious strength.

But it wasn't just the new faces getting some airtime. Hasbro also gave a closer look at the Han Solo Black series figure, which was unveiled at their Comic Con pre-party last night.

Finally, Hasbro also announced that a great wrong would be righted next year, with the release of a new Black Series Leia figure. With soft materials galore, Hasbro hopes to finally make a model fit for everyone's favorite ass-kicking Alderaanian.
