Marvel Announces 3 New Films for Phase 3, Moves Captain Marvel and Black Panther Release Dates
Marvel has just announced three new films for their Phase 3, including two untitled films and an Ant-Man sequel to be called Ant-Man and the Wasp.

The untitled films will be released in May and June 2020, respectively, after the currently planned slate of films, culminating with Inhumans in 2019. But the release of Ant-Man and the Wasp in 2018 shifts the schedule somewhat; Black Panther has been moved up from July to February of 2018, while Captain Marvel has been pushed back from late 2018 to March 2019.

It's not too surprising that Ant-Man is getting a sequel, as it performed well at the box office. But compared to other Marvel films, it was slightly underwhelming, which might be why they're headlining two superheroes. We're not complaining; we need more focus on female superheroes, and Hope Van Dyne was much more interesting than Scott Lang anyway. (Maybe one of the untitled films is a Wasp solo movie? We can dream.)

Here's the new schedule of the Marvel films in question:

February 16, 2018 – Black Panther (Previously July 6, 2018)
July 6, 2018 – Ant-Man and the Wasp
March 8, 2019 – Captain Marvel (Previously November 2, 2018)
May 1, 2020 – Untitled Marvel Studios Film
July 10, 2020 – Untitled Marvel Studios Film November 6, 2020 – Untitled Marvel Studios Film
