Hulk Confirmed to Appear in Thor: Ragnarok
Earlier this week, it was rumored that Mark Ruffalo's Hulk would appear alongside Chris Hemsworth in Thor: Ragnarok. Now, multiple outlets have confirmed that Bruce Banner will next appear in the third Thor solo film.

Mark Ruffalo's Hulk was originally supposed to appear in Captain America: Civil War, but was cut from the script. This is ultimately probably a good thing, as Civil War is already saturated, perhaps oversaturated, with superheroes. But it was still a disappointment, since it meant that we would likely not see Bruce until Avengers: Infinity War. But now, we'll get to see him a year earlier, as he will team up with Thor to combat a huge threat that Joblo describes as "the Norse Apocalypse."

This move is part of an increasing Marvel trend of moving away from actual solo films. Captain America: Civil War has so many heroes and villains, it's basically Avengers 3, and that's after Winter Soldier performed well. It makes sense that they would want to headline at least two superheroes after Thor: The Dark World underwhelmed, similar to Ant Man and the Wasp.

Thor: Ragnarok, which is also confirmed to co-star Tom Hiddleston as Loki and Jaimie Alexander as Lady Sif, will hit theaters on November 3, 2017.
