New Trailer for Amazon's The Man in the High Castle: What If the Axis Powers Had Won World War II?
A new trailer for Amazon's adaptation of Philip K. Dick's The Man in the High Castle is here, and it makes us even more excited for the show, which explores an alternate history in which the Axis powers won World War II:

The trailer is entitled "What if?", which doesn't refer to the viewers asking what would have happened if the Axis powers won, but to the characters asking themselves what would have happened if they lost. The protagonist, Juliana (Alexa Davalos), is given a newsreel that depicts this "alternate history," and she becomes convinced that it shows the world as it truly is, or as it's supposed to be.

We haven't seen it yet, but the show has been highly acclaimed by critics so far, and became Amazon's most-watched pilot since it began its original programming model. As a result, it was picked up for a full season, and for those of you who don't subscribe to Amazon Prime, the pilot and second episode will be available for free streaming for a full weekend, after which the pilot will still be widely available and subsequent episodes will only be available to Prime members.

The Man in the High Castle comes from co-producer Ridley Scott, and also stars Rupert Evans, Luke Kleintank, Rufus Sewell, DJ Qualls, Joel De La Fuente and Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa. The first two episodes begin streaming on October 23.
