LucasFilm Unveils Star Wars: The Force Awakens Character Posters
We might not be getting any new trailers for Star Wars: The Force Awakens, but that doesn't mean there's nothing to get excited about between now and December 18th. Today, LucasFilm unveiled a series of character posters for JJ Abrams' movie, featuring some of the story's key players. And you guessed it, Luke Skywalker was not involved.

Finn, Rey, Han and Kylo Ren are all pictured with their weapons of choice, while Leia is seen in a pose that seems to suggest she's now a tactical leader of The New Republic.

So the Luke Skywalker mystery continues, but would we really want it any other way? Abrams and LucasFilm's decision to cover The Force Awakens in a veil of mystery might frustrate some fans, but it's hard to imagine it not all being worth it in the end. Think about it, when was the last time you went into a movie desperate to find out something new about a character? These days, studios seem too eager to show off all their wares that they end up ruining what could be great cinematic twists.

We're happy that Luke Skywalker is being kept a secret, and we're also happy that LucasFilm are maintaining their tradition of producing really kick ass posters for their movies.
