Do We Know the Villain in Guardians of the Galaxy 2?
Guardians of the Galaxy: Volume 2 is still unfortunately two years away, and plot details for the highly-anticipated sequel have been closely guarded... or have they? In a new interview with MTV, Bradley Cooper (who voices Rocket Raccoon) may have just given away both the film's villain and a certain character's father. Spoiler: It's the same person.

In the clip, when asked who the villain of the new film is, Cooper says it's Josh Brolin's character (Thanos), though he can't remember his name. He then tries to clarify by saying that he's "the main guy's" dad. "He played what's his name's dad," Cooper says. "You know what I'm talking about? The dark lord? The main guy." Now initially, everyone assumed that when Cooper said "dark lord" he meant "Star Lord", and jumped to conclusions, but as the interview progresses it becomes clear that Cooper is referring to Ronan the Accuser from the first movie. He must have mixed up Thanos being Nebula and Gamora's father with Ronan, and that's how rumors get started.

As a final say on any spoilers, director James Gunn tweeted out that Cooper did not reveal any secrets of the upcoming film, because he doesn't know any.

So looks like it was a false alarm. The real story here though may be that Bradley Cooper definitely needs to watch The Guardians of the Galaxy again because he definitely did not pay attention the first time.
