Toby Kebbell Says What We Already Knew About Fantastic Four
In case you forgot (lucky you) this summer's Fantastic Four was an absolute disaster. The film drew worse critical reviews than movies like Green Lantern and Batman and Robin, leading some to speculate that it could have been the worst comic book movie of all time. Now, the actor who had the unfortunate role of Doctor Doom in the film is voicing his opinion on the movie, and he agrees with the rest of us.

In an interview with IGN, actor Toby Kebbell discusses his reaction to the response Marvel's first family received from fans. He says:

Opening quote
"The fans aren't wrong. You know, fans want what they want to see, and if they don't get satisfaction they let you know. And I appreciate that as a performer. My job is to come in and perform as best I can, and hopefully be directed in that path, and I felt like I was. I felt like the film was going to go well. It didn't turn out that the fans felt that way. The reaction was honest, and I can appreciate honesty."
Closing quote

Obviously, Kebbell had high hopes for the movie and is disappointed it didn't turn out so hot, but good on him for not pinning the blame on the fans. Kebbell also hinted in the interview that he wishes he had voiced some of his concerns about the movie earlier, so that maybe some of it could have been selvaged.

Opening quote
"I don't know if I learned anything from Doom apart from perhaps when I see something I don't agree with to voice that immediately ... I think it's vitally important that if there's a problem on set that it's voiced and we solve it there."
Closing quote

Oh, what could have been. You can check out the rest of Kebbell's interview below.
