First X-Men: Apocalypse Trailer Will Be Attached to Star Wars: The Force Awakens
We've seen set photos and official photos from X-Men: Apocalypse, but we're only six months away and still haven't seen any official footage. That will change before the end of the year, as the first Apocalypse trailer is attached to none other than Star Wars: The Force Awakens.

In a recent interview with Collider, veteran X-Men writer Simon Kinberg said we'll definitely see footage from the film in front of The Force Awakens, even if it's a little shorter than a full trailer:

Opening quote
"I can in fact confirm that information. Our first trailer will be on Star Wars: The Force Awakens. It's our first thing out there so it is somewhat of a teaser but it's certainly longer than a minute and it has a ton of cool stuff in it."
Closing quote

X-Men: Apocalypse is looking bigger by the minute, and now that the trailer is attached to Star Wars, the hype surrounding it is sure to increase even more. We saw a brief teaser at San Diego Comic Con this year, and if we remember correctly, it was a little over a minute, so it will likely be a cleaned-up version of that one. Here's our breakdown of the Comic Con footage:

Opening quote
We begin the trailer with Sophie Turner's Jean Grey having a nightmare:
"I saw the end of the world. I could feel all this death."
"Jean, it was just a dream."
We're told that cults have formed since people found out about mutants, who believe they're the "second coming" or "sign of God."
We get our first glimpse at Oscar Isaac's Apocalypse, who ominously says, "You are all my children. And you are lost, because you follow blind leaders."
Jennifer Lawrence's Mystique tells us mutants are being hunted and "living in fear."
But the biggest surprise comes when Professor X's eyes go black, and he says, "I've never felt power such as this." Is he going to be one of the villains of the film?
Closing quote

X-Men Apocalypse also stars Nicholas Hoult as Beast, Rose Byrne as Moira MacTaggert, Olivia Munn as Psylocke, Evan Peters as Quicksilver, Kodi Smit-McPhee as Nightcrawler, Tye Sheridan as Cyclops, Alexandra Shipp as Storm, and Lana Candor as Jubilee. The film will hit theaters on May 27, 2016.
