New Video Gives Us Our Best Look Yet at the Batman v Superman Batmobile
We've seen a couple of official images and lots of unofficial video of the newest Batmobile, but in this new video, Variant Comics goes behind-the-scenes and gives us plenty of new details about Zack Snyder's version of the infamous gadget, showing us a closer look at the Batmobile than we've seen thus far:

The video goes through a retrospective of all the previous Batmobiles, but in their discussion of the new vehicle, which starts around 8:50, they reveal plenty of interesting new tidbits of information. First, it's just plain huge, 20 feet long and 12 feet wide, with 50-inch wheels in the back that are actually shaved-down tractor wheels. It also boasts features that we've never seen on a Batmobile before, like the Gatling guns that are just lying on the floor. It also raises off the ground when going into battle (to look more intimidating, I guess?), and then lowers back to the ground when cruising the streets, for a sleeker, more aerodynamic look. They also reveal that the vehicle was primarily inspired by the classic Michael Keaton Batmobile, although it's been modernized and is clearly influenced by other iterations, like Nolan's Tumbler.

It's also scuffed and scraped up, in order to reflect Ben Affleck's interpretation of the iconic character:

Opening quote
"This is a different kind of version of Batman, where he's not just starting out as Batman. He's been Batman for a long time now, so this thing [the dinged-up Batmobile] has seen some stuff."
Closing quote

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice hits theaters on March 25, 2016.
