James Franco Time Travels to Prevent the JFK Assassination in First Trailer for Hulu's 11/22/63
Hulu has dropped the first trailer for their upcoming adaptation of the acclaimed Stephen King novel, 11/22/63, which will star James Franco and was created by J.J. Abrams:

11/22/63 stars James Franco as Jake Epping, a high school English teacher who discovers a portal that allows him to travel back to a specific time on a specific date in 1958. He decides to stay there for five years in order to prevent the Kennedy assassination, which he believes will then prevent the Vietnam War and the Martin Luther King Jr. assassination, which will, in turn, save the world. But as we all know, changing the past is a tricky thing, and his seemingly benevolent mission has unforeseen consequences.

J.J. Abrams and Bad Robot created the series, while Friday Night Lights and Parenthood EP Bridget Carpenter is set to write and executive produce. The adaptation will be an eight-part miniseries, rather than an ongoing series, which is something of a relief. Those of you who are familiar with the source material know that the narrative would not be able to sustain itself over multiple seasons, and it's better not to force it, as we saw with the mostly unsuccessful King adaptation, Under the Dome.

11/22/63 premieres on President's Day (because of course it does), February 15, 2016.
