Fred Dekker Confirms the Predator Sequel Script is Officially Complete
You might recall earlier this year that a reboot/sequel was announced for the classic Sci-Fi franchise, Predator. Iron Man director Shane Black was attached to take the chair for the project with John Davis returning to produce. Fred Dekker (Robocop 3, Star Trek: Enterprise) was assigned to write the screenplay for the movie, which according to Davis will completely reinvent the franchise. Now, Dekker has confirmed via  Facebook that the script has been turned in, bringing us one step closer to the first new entry into the franchise since Predators in 2010.

Despite the comments of Davis, it was later confirmed that this project will actually serve as more of a direct sequel to the existing series of Predator movies. That's about all we know about the project so far, though. Right now, we have no details on when in the Predator timeline this movie will be set, nor do we know if franchise characters are set to return. When the project was first announced back in June, Arnold Schwarzenegger stated that he had not been contacted about returning to the franchise, although he did say that he was excited by the prospect of Shane Black directing.
