New Batman v Superman Trailer Reveals Doomsday and an Awesome Lex Luthor
The new Batman v Superman trailer finally premiered on Jimmy Kimmel Live! tonight, and it pretty much gives away the whole damn movie:

The trailer seems to reveal the whole plot: Batman goes after Superman in the public eye, Clark Kent goes after Batman at the Daily Planet, Lex kidnaps Lois, Doomsday shows up and they forget about their issues with each other and Lex, and Wonder Woman suits up and is more powerful than both of them. There are also a few Joker references for DC fans, particularly that "freaks dressed like clowns" comment.

The trailer makes me much more excited for Jesse Eisenberg's Lex Luthor, who has a scarily playful quality that I already love, and clearly has the best dialogue. However, Doomsday looks a little over-the-top for DC's supposedly gritty aesthetic, and the conflict between Batman and Superman seems a little overwrought. I feel like it's going to be a lot of melodrama, with Lex popping up every once in a while to inject some much-needed energy into the proceedings.

Here's the official synopsis for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice:

Opening quote
In Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice, fearing the actions of a god-like Super Hero left unchecked, Gotham City's own formidable, forceful vigilante takes on Metropolis's most revered, modern-day savior, while the world wrestles with what sort of hero it really needs. And with Batman and Superman at war with one another, a new threat quickly arises, putting mankind in greater danger than it's ever known before.
