The Best of Marvel's Phase 2 Blu-Ray Box Set
The limited edition Marvel Phase 2 box set is coming out on Tuesday (and is available to pre-order on Amazon), and it includes the full collection of Phase 2 Blu-rays, including Iron Man 3, Thor: The Dark World, Captain America: Winter Soldier, Guardians of the Galaxy, Avengers: Age of Ultron, and Ant-Man. But it also includes lots of other bonuses for die-hard Marvel fans, like extra footage and commentary from the films, as well as a huge Civil War Easter egg and some silly tchotchkes, just for fun. Bonus Disc
In addition to all of the films of Phase 2, there's an exclusive bonus disc with over 2 1/2 hours of footage, including deleted and extended scenes, all of the One-Shot films with commentary, making-of videos, and screen tests. Below, you can see a deleted scene from Thor: The Dark World and the hilarious screen test for Chris Pratt and Dave Bautista's Guardians of the Galaxy roles:
The Blu-Ray Artwork
The Blu-rays all have exclusive covers with amazing artwork by artist Matt Ferguson. They're all incredible, but I think Winter Soldier is my favorite, particularly the Hydra in the sky:
The Power Stone
You can have your very own purple Infinity Stone, as the box set includes a battery-powered life-size replica of the orb from Guardians of the Galaxy, which houses the Power Stone. And, since there are still two stones missing, maybe if you watch all of the movies in a row you can hazard a guess as to where they are (but really, you should be doing that anyway).
Possibly the most exciting part of the collection, with your box set you'll get your very own copy of the Sokovia Accords, the MCU version of the Superhero Registration Act that incites the conflict of Civil War. You can see the abridged document below, which requires all of the Avengers to submit to government oversight:
"Jarvis Is My Co-Pilot"
There are a bunch of fun and silly trinkets in the box set contained in an envelope covered with messages in Russian, including Thor's Rainbow Ridge coasters, Stark Industries post-its, a Tony Stark temporary tattoo, an Avengers rubber stopper, and a STRIKE team patch. But the best ones are probably a "Jarvis Is My Co-Pilot" bumper sticker, a "You Know Who I Am" name tag, and a slide with the remains of Antony, Ant-Man's trusty steed.
