Marvel to Release a Comic Sequel to Civil War Just in Time for the Movie
In October, a postcard went out to comic book retailers that showed Tony Stark and Sam Wilson fighting each other, possibly indicating a sequel to Civil War. Now, Marvel has officially confirmed that Civil War II is happening, and it will- surprise, surprise- come out right before Captain America: Civil War hits theaters.

The film is based on the original Civil War series, which came out in 2006-2007, and saw Tony Stark and Steve Rogers fighting over the Superhuman Registration act. The rebooted Marvel universe published a Civil War miniseries this year that explored an alternate timeline in which the superhero Civil War never ended, but it seems that Civil War II will be a proper sequel, this time featuring the current Captain America, Sam Wilson.

It's unclear what Iron Man and Captain America will be fighting about this time, or whether the series will be self-contained or a storyline within existing Marvel comics. But according to Comicbook.com, it will be helmed by prominent comics creators Brian Michael Bendis and David Marquez, and will come out in April 2016, one month ahead of Captain America: Civil War's release on May 6.
