The First Four Episodes of Syfy's The Expanse Are Now Online
Between Childhood's End and The Expanse, Syfy is throwing down the gauntlet when it comes to prestigious scripted programming. Now, after the successful digital run of its pilot, The Expanse is putting their first four episodes online to watch at your convenience.

The Expanse, based on the bestselling book series of the same name by James S.A. Corey, follows a hardboiled detective (former Punisher Thomas Jane) who investigates the case of a missing young woman and uncovers an intergalactic conspiracy. The first episode was available online from November 23 to its official TV run on December 14, which was a success, as it was viewed 4.4 million times. Now, the first four episodes are available on Syfy.com, On Demand platforms, and digitally, so you won't have to wait a month to get entrenched in this conspiracy.

The first few episodes are getting great reviews, with many calling it the best Syfy outing since Battlestar Galactica. Critics universally praise the action scenes and special effects, and while there may be a few story issues to start with, it seems like a good enough show that we can give it the benefit of the doubt.

The Expanse airs on Tuesdays at 10pm ET on Syfy.
