Is This the Lineup For the X-Force Movie?
It's no secret that Fox is planning on building its own cinematic universe around its X-Men property, with its failed Fantastic Four and its hopefully awesome upcoming Deadpool, but there's a lot more on the horizon. One of the more intriguing projects is an X-Force movie, which was previously reported as having been benched in favor of a New Mutants film. But now it looks like X-Force is back on, and we even have our first concept art giving us a look at the team's potential lineup.

The picture, from artist Greg Semkow, is said to feature the characters in the script from writer/director Jeff Wadlow. But who does it show? Well for starters, front and center is Cable, long-time leader of the team in the comics, telekinetic time-traveling son of Cyclops and Madeline Pryor (a clone of Jean Grey), and overall badass. Next to him on his left is Domino, an assassin with the mutant power to alter probability - making her a crack shot. To her left is Warpath, a Native American with enhanced strength, speed, and senses. The character already appeared in Days of Future Past, played by Boo Boo Stewart, but given the X-Men movies' rocky history with continuity, it's anyone's guess as to whether this is the same Warpath or not. Shooting off in the background is Sam Guthrie, better known as Cannonball, who can fly through the air using jet propulsion which makes him indestructible while in motion. And then finally, there's a mysterious hooded female character.

Some speculations suggests she's Rogue due to the gray streak in her hair, but the famed power-stealer has not really been involved with X-Force in the comics. Two more likely candidates are Feral and Boom Boom. The former looks like a cat/human hybrid in the comics, which the character in the image does not, but if you look closely you will notice she's sporting some pretty intense claws. Boom Boom on the other hand doesn't have claws, but she does have the ability to create bombs out of psionic energy, which is pretty awesome.

We'll have to be on the lookout for future confirmation of these characters, but for now it looks like X-Force is a movie we should definitely be excited for.
