Heroes Likely Won't Return After the End of "Reborn"
Heroes will likely never be reborn again. After the miniseries has concluded in a few weeks, we are likely done with the franchise for good, as Heroes Reborn isn't coming back for a second season.

Opening quote
"As far as I know there are no more incarnations of Heroes coming," NBC entertainment chairman Robert Greenblatt said at the TCA winter press tour (via TV Line).

Greenblatt made sure to save face, saying that it was "always the plan" to do just one season "unless [series creator] Tim [Kring] woke up one day and said, 'Oh, I have another chapter to tell.'"

Opening quote
"I think we're coming to the end… of the world, maybe," Greenblatt said. "Stay tuned."
Closing quote

Tim Kring had originally said that Heroes Reborn could come back in the form of multiple miniseries, as the premise lends itself to the introduction of new characters and new stories. That's true enough, as it's just a generic "people wake up with superpowers" kind of show, but Heroes Reborn hasn't been nearly good enough to justify further installments, so hopefully they'll just let this one go. We all wanted a Heroes show that would return to the glory of the first season and make up for the godawful subsequent seasons, but this certainly wasn't it.

Heroes Reborn premiered to a decent viewership in September, but wasn't well-received by fans or critics, and its audience has been dwindling ever since. When it came back for its midseason premiere last week, it had a little more than half of the viewers who tuned into the series premiere.

Heroes Reborn will air its last few episodes on Thursdays on NBC. The series finale will air on January 21 at 8pm ET.
