The Punisher Is Probably Getting His Own Netflix Series
According to TV Line, Netflix is currently in the process of deciding whether or not to take on yet another Marvel exclusive, and it's the one that everybody's been hoping for – The Punisher.

Of course, Jon Bernthal will debut in the role of the Marvel hero in this season's Daredevil, serving as one of the main antagonists to Matt Murdoch in this year's run of the show. Though there have only been bits and pieces seen of Bernthal in the role so far, it's hard not to believe that he was custom made for the part.

If The Punisher gets the go ahead from Netflix, it'll be the sixth Netflix excusive Marvel series to debut on the streaming service. So far, the other exclusives have been fantastic and a great change in pace due to their departure from the usual Marvel method that the company has taken with the rest of their movies and TV shows. The first seasons of Daredevil and Jessica Jones have both been critically acclaimed successes and it's expected that Luke Cage, Iron Fist, and the Defenders (and hopefully The Punisher as well) will follow in their footsteps.

Anyone who's seen David Ayer's Fury knows Bernthal can act, and those familiar with The Walking Dead's first two seasons know that he shouldn't have any trouble taking on a leading role. Though Civil War probably takes the cake for the most anticipated Marvel event of 2016, seeing Bernthal's take on the character in the upcoming season of Daredevil, beginning March 18th, is no doubt somewhere close behind.
