Will We Meet the Serpent Society in Phase 3 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe?
Serpent Society is already famous in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, as it was the fake-out title used for Captain America: Civil War, just to mess with Civil War fans. But Serpent Society is an awesome group of supervillains in its own right, and as it turns out, we may be seeing them before Phase 3 is over.

In a new interview with Collider, when asked by a fan whether Marvel would ever bring Serpent Society into the mix, Joe Russo said:

Opening quote
"Well we did for a minute there, right?... If I tell you we are going to do something with Serpent Society that would be a big spoiler. I'll tell you this: by the time you get through Infinity War, I don't know if there's going to be anything left you're asking us for."

Avengers: Infinity War is going to be a huge superhero and villain-filled affair, even rumored to include a whopping 67 characters. In this interview, Russo says that that number was a little more figurative than it sounded, but it will still have almost every Marvel character you can think of, and Serpent Society seems to be included in that number. Although he's remaining deliberately vague, he's heavily implying that they will be introduced in the foreseeable future, although there's also a chance that that could mean they will be in Civil War, as they are Captain America villains.

And what about the immensely popular Netflix superheroes? Will we get to see Daredevil or Jessica Jones suit up alongside the Avengers? (Both characters were members of the New Avengers in the comics.) Joe Russo had this to say in response:

Opening quote
"All things are possible in Marvel, we'll just say that."
Closing quote

Of course, this isn't really an answer, and he acknowledges as much: "Working for Marvel, you become a master at saying absolutely nothing." But it definitely leaves the door open, and considering their popularity, it would make sense to bring them into the films. I would be fine with it if they didn't, however, especially since the tone of the Netflix series is so much darker than the movies. Perhaps Civil War will change that, but even so, seeing a character like Jessica Jones next to the Hulk would be a little jarring.

Captain America: Civil War comes out on May 6, while Avengers: Infinity War comes out in two parts on May 4, 2018 and May 3, 2019.
