Charlie Cox Discusses the Possibility of Daredevil Appearing in The Avengers: Infinity War
It's been widely reported and discussed that the third Avengers film will bring things full circle in a lot of ways for Marvel, featuring an insane amount of heroes to take on the big bad in what might be the slowest buildup to a cinematic boss fight ever. However, one of the unknowns is whether or not some of Marvel's TV characters will be appearing in the films as well after the immense popularity of the Netflix exclusives, Daredevil and Jessica Jones. In a recent interview with ET, the man without fear himself discussed the possibility of his appearance in the upcoming film:

Opening quote
Marvel TV and Marvel Studios are two very different things. So even if the character were to appear in that film, that doesn't necessarily mean that I would appear in that film. I will pick a fight with the guy that they choose!... So that would be a dream, but that's not something that has been discussed.
Closing quote

It's disappointing to see that he hasn't yet been included in the ensemble, but it's not necessarily too late for things to change - Infinity War isn't scheduled to hit theaters until 2018. Shows like Daredevil and Jessica Jones have offered a pleasant and distinct change in tone and style from the rest of Marvel's Cinematic Universe (and that may very well be one of the reasons they could be left out of Infinity War). Of course, Daredevil's tendency to deal with street-level threats could also be part of the reason as well. There's also a real possibility that such a thing as "too many superheroes in one movie" actually exists.

In the end, however, it's definitely a disappointment that Marvel hasn't included any of their Netflix properties in their movies as of yet. The MCU prides itself on its interconnectedness, and fans of Marvel's take on their cinematic universe often criticize DC for leaving their TV properties out of their own (come on - do you really want the crappy soap opera aspects of Arrow to exist in the same universe as Ben Affleck's Batman and Jared Leto's Joker?). Yet if Marvel's not going to start crossing over with some of their most popular TV properties, what exactly's the point?

Marvel knows what they're doing though, so it wouldn't be surprising for an actual crossover between their Netflix and cinematic properties to take place at some point in the future -- after all, they've done it with their other shows. References and name drops are nice and all, but of course that's not what the fans want, and both Disney and Marvel understand that. It'd be great to see Daredevil in the same room as, say, Spider-Man or the Hulk, and one day that might happen. Yet as of now, there seems to be no official plans to do so.
