Supergirl and The Flash Are Finally Getting a Crossover
Great news, DCTV fans! We're finally getting the crossover we've been waiting for ever since Supergirl came out, as Kara Danvers and Barry Allen will officially cross paths on an episode of Supergirl. The episode is set to come out on March 28, although there are no details on what would bring Barry Allen to National City yet.

Opening quote
"We are so incredibly excited to announce something that we have dreamed of happening since we starting making Supergirl - The Flash and Supergirl are teaming up!," said series exec producers Greg Berlanti and Andrew Kreisberg. "We want to thank Grant Gustin for making the time to come visit (on top of his already immense workload) and all of the folks at CBS, The CW, Warner Bros. and DC for working this out. And finally thanks to the fans and journalists who have kept asking for this to happen. It is our pleasure and hope to create an episode worthy of everyone's enthusiasm and support."
Closing quote

Fans have been clamoring for the two superheroes to meet, especially since the CW DC shows are all part of the same universe, and share a showrunner with Supergirl in Greg Berlanti. There's more red tape when it comes to a crossover with Supergirl, as opposed to Arrow or Legends of Tomorrow, since it airs on a different network, but it seems that The CW and CBS have bridged the gap, and we're so glad. The two shows aren't exactly alike by any means, but they do share a fun and lighthearted but still well-written take on the superhero genre. Plus, both shows are known for their particularly charming, charismatic leads who elevate their respective shows with their adorability, so it will be a treat for fans to see them interact.
