The announcement that Netflix would be bringing new episodes of Black Mirror to its platform was some of the best news we heard all last year, and with production now underway on Charlie Brooker's project, things are starting to get real.

One of the most interesting elements to Black Mirror is the amount of top talent it is able to attract. In past seasons, the likes of Domhnall Gleeson, Hayley Atwell and Jon Hamm have played out the show's deeply unsettling stories. It looks like the new series will continue this trend of showcasing big names, because it's just been revealed that Alice Eve and Bryce Dallas Howard have been added to the show's cast.

Even more exciting than the casting announcement is the news that Joe Wright has been signed to direct the episode. Wright's previous credits include Atonement, Hanna, and most recently, Pan (nobody is perfect), and he's widely regarded as one of Hollywood's big up and coming talents.

Both Brooker and Annabel Jones are returning as Showrunners for what is going to be a 12 episode season. That's a great deal more Black Mirror than previous seasons, which have been limited to less than 3 episodes a piece.

No release date has been set, but it's likely that these casting announcements will continue to roll through as production starts picking up some steam.
