Peter Mayhew Releases Pages from Early Star Wars Script Ahead of "Big Announcement"
A huge Star Wars announcement is coming from none other than Chewbacca himself, but first, we're being treated to the Adventures of Luke Starkiller:

Peter Mayhew is releasing pages from a Star Wars script from a long, long time ago, back when the Skywalker family was the Starkiller family and the Star Wars franchise was called "Journey of the Whills." Many of the classic elements are still there in the first few pages that Mayhew released yesterday, like Tatooine, the Empire, Threepio, and the opening crawl, but there were also many changes (for the better), including the aforementioned names and the addition of the iconic, "A long, long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away..."

Mayhew will continue to release more pages, which is interesting enough to watch out for in itself, but there's also apparently a "big announcement" coming. We're not given any clues as to what it might be, so it's time for some good old-fashioned speculation. Since he's releasing pages from the original trilogy's script, there's a chance that it involves the original trilogy in some way. I would say that he might announce the release of the theatrical versions of the original trilogy on Blu-ray, but it seems unlikely that Disney would have Mayhew make that announcement (if he is, in fact, making the announcement himself).

It seems more likely that his announcement involves Chewbacca's involvement in the franchise. He conspicuously wasn't listed among the cast for Episode VIII, so perhaps he'll announce that he's returning for the sequel? Or maybe he'll have a cameo in Rogue One, or, most excitingly, maybe he'll announce his appearance in the Han Solo prequel movie. Many have predicted (or hoped) that the prequel would show Han Solo meeting his Wookiee buddy for the first time, so this would go a long way towards confirming that.
