Is This How Spider-Man Factors Into 'Civil War'?
Captain America: Civil War has been slowly leaking plot details as we get closer to the May release date, and just this past weekend we were given our first look at Crossbones and learned the identity of Martin Freeman's character. But one piece of information that the movie is keeping very close to the chest is how Spider-Man factors into the movie. But that may be about to change.

According to a new report from What Culture, Spidey doesn't show up in the film until the two sides in the Cap vs Iron Man battle have already been populated. That would explain why the web-slinger hasn't featured in any of the promo art touting the teams, but it doesn't necessarily mean that he'll stay above the fray entirely. The report also claims that Peter Parker forms a relationship with one character, but it doesn't say who.

The most likely character would be Tony Stark, since he has long been rumored to gift Spider-Man his costume in the MCU, and Robert Downey Jr. has hinted that he appears in the Spider-Man solo film, which comes out next year. If Spidey and Iron Man do buddy up, it will be interesting to see how that affects not only the Avengers, but the rest of the MCU moving forward.
