New Daredevil Promo Features More of Punisher Being Menacing
In case you hadn't already figured it out, Jon Bernthal's Punisher in Daredevil season two is going to be one menacing guy. The Man Without Fear's main antagonist for the season, Frank Castle is going to go head to head with Matt Murdock over their differing ideologies when it comes to dealing with criminals. And judging from this new promo video, it looks like the Punisher wins.

The new video was shared by the official Daredevil Twitter account, and it shows Punisher emerging from the darkness to look with disdain upon Daredevil's mask that he holds in his hand. The implications of this are twofold. For one, it looks like the Punisher defeats Daredevil in a head to head fight. And two, it looks like he also finds out his real identity. The caption to go along with the promo reads: "Street justice has taken a dark turn." Indeed.

Also this week, the new issue of Empire profiles Bernthal's character, and gives a brief description of a scene involving the two that occurs late in the season. Here's what it says, courtesy of Comic Book Resources:

Opening quote
"The actor playing Man Justifiably Terrified By The Punisher wrenches open the door and limps through the cabin into his chambers. After a beat, Bernthal - assault rifle in the ready position - follows. Gunfire is exchanged, and the scene ends with The Punisher standing over the man as he begs for his life. Bernthal takes out a handgun anf puts it in the man's mouth. Lost in character, Bernthal calls the man a "cocksucker." And then, just as Frank is about to Castle the poor chap, in barges Charlie Cox as that do-gooding Daredevil. 'GET OUTTA HERE RED!' yells Bernthal, a line which tells us that, though their methods are different, The Punisher and Daredevil have formed an alliance of sorts. What happens next - Castle leaping up and pushing Daredevil out of the room - tells us that alliance is fairly brittle."
