Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Spin-Off "Marvel's Most Wanted" Gets an Official Synopsis
After the huge success of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and Agent Carter, Marvel is spinning off breakout character Bobbi Morse, played by the wonderful Adrianne Palicki, into her own show. In the spin-off, originally titled Mockingbird but now called Marvel's Most Wanted, Bobbi teams up with her ex-husband, Lance Hunter (Nick Blood), as they go on the run, where they forge a wary truce with a Marvel Comics character named Dominic Fortune.

Here's the official synopsis for the show:

Opening quote
Centers on Bobbi Morse (a.k.a. Mockingbird) and Lance Hunter of "Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., two ex-spies and ex-spouses who are on the run with no friends, no S.H.I.E.L.D. and a long list of enemies looking to claim a bounty on their heads. Able to trust no one but each other, Bobbi and Hunter form an uneasy alliance with Dominic Fortune, a rogue adventurer with a wealth of resources and even more adversaries, who agrees to protect them so long as they help him with his own agenda. These two heroes will help anyone in need, all while trying to uncover the conspiracy that put their own lives in jeopardy.

Cast: Adrianne Palicki, Nick Blood, Delroy Lindo
Closing quote

Dominic Fortune will be played by Delroy Lindo, a British actor best known for films like Malcolm X and Get Shorty. In the comics, Fortune is a costumed adventurer who appeared as a supporting character in the series Hawkeye and Mockingbird, which has some superficial similarities to the plot of Marvel's Most Wanted, and its follow-up, Widowmaker.

We're excited for this show, and hope that it leads to a more highly developed Marvel TV universe. DC may be scrambling to catch up to Marvel in their cinematic universe, but DC definitely has the upper hand when it comes to their respective TV universes. But who knows? Maybe Marvel's Most Wanted could serve as Marvel's answer to The Flash.

Marvel's Most Wanted is slated to be released sometime this year on ABC.
