Disney Previews Rogue One Footage With Chrome Stormtroopers AT-ATs and More
Spoilers for Rogue One follow
A reader over at SlashFilm was in the Disney meeting and has given a blow by blow account of what he saw. Included in the footage were new (or old, I guess) Stormtroopers, shots of Imperial Military vehicles including AT-ATs, and footage of some of the movie's key players, Felicity Jones and Donnie Yen. Check out the description below:

This all sounds really encouraging. Rogue One is clearly going to be a very different Star Wars film to what we've seen before, but it sounds like it's going to retain many of the elements that make the franchise great. The Empire (and organizations like it) are the core of Star Wars, but this time, instead of seeing Jedi hack their way through ranks of Stormtroopers, we'll get to see a more intimate, and ultimately more dangerous kind of action.
Interestingly, SlashFilm's tipster also told them that Disney's Bob Iger clarified where in the Star Wars timeline the movie takes place.
While we always knew that Rogue One would take place sometime prior to events of A New Hope, it's interesting that Iger used the phrase "right before", seemingly confirming that the events of Rogue One are taking place just as Luke Skywalker is staring wistfully at the twin moons of Tatooine.
Now, Mr. Iger, if you could just see your way to making some of this footage public, we'll be very very happy.
Rogue One: A Star Wars Story hits theaters on December 16th 2016
