Here's Our First Connection Between Luke Cage and Daredevil Season Two
We've already seen that the Netflix Defenders miniseries contain references to the larger cinematic universe and to each other, particularly through the character of Claire Temple, who is set to appear in every planned Defenders series so far. As it turns out, Rosario Dawson's character is the key to at least one Easter egg connecting Luke Cage to Daredevil season two.

In an interview with AOL (which also contains a few snippets of new footage of Elektra and Daredevil fighting those thugs from the trailer), Charlie Cox declined to respond to fan questions about whether other Defenders would appear in season two (probably under threat of death from Marvel's assassins), but he did offer this little Luke Cage Easter egg, which sheds light on the two series' timelines in relation to each other.
Opening quote
"She's kind of the common element. So what was kind of fun was we were shooting season two at the same time as Luke Cage season one, and there was a scene I had with Rosario, and she showed up and we started rehearsing, and then she went into hair and makeup and came back and she had this cut on her face. And that wasn't part of anything in the scripts of our story... She said 'Technically, two days ago in the story, I was doing this in Luke Cage, and this is leftover from that moment."
Closing quote

So apparently, Luke Cage was not only filming at the same time as Daredevil's second season, but the two series' events overlap in the MCU timeline. So in other words, we should all be looking for possible Luke Cage references when we binge Daredevil this weekend.

And speaking of our imminent #NetflixandChill, here's a behind-the-scenes look at the highly anticipated antagonist for this season, Jon Bernthal's Punisher:

One batch. Two batch. Penny and dime.
