First Reviews Are in For 'Daredevil' Season 2
Daredevil season 2 doesn't premiere on Netflix until March 18, but the first reviews are already trickling in. So what's the verdict? It looks like Marvel's hit streak on Netflix will continue, as the show is currently sitting at a 100 percent approval rating on Netflix. The storyline, cinematography, and the new characters are all enjoying heaps of praise. Here are a few highlights from the reviews so far.

From Collider:

Opening quote
It's emblematic of what creator Drew Goddard, and his fellow writers and directors, have set out to do with this series: find the complicated, deeply human characters that these outlandish characters in capes and costumes are, as a way of invoking the true pain and pressure of what they do. That Daredevil also sports some of the best action sequences of this decade makes a rather strong case for the MCU to follow suit.

From Forbes

Opening quote
While the improvements are great, though, the big question everyone has going into the new season is, "how good is Jon Bernthal as the famed Punisher?" Luckily, that question is a very simple one to answer: he's great. This is the Punisher fans know. This is the Punisher fans want. This is the Punisher the MCU needs.

From The Daily Beast:

Opening quote
Daredevil's action, providing the first sparks of sensuality to a program that's often so drenched in (literal and figurative) darkness that it becomes oppressively dreary. [Elodie] Yung's deadly temptress has a playful nastiness that frequently cuts through the overarching bleakness, and like The Punisher, her ruthless self-interest serves to further destabilize Daredevil's conception of himself as an upright do-gooder.

From Variety:

For the most part, though, like the Netflix/Marvel team-up Jessica Jones, Daredevil very credibly meshes superhero elements with noir-ish crime, conveying the atmosphere of Frank Miller's memorable run overseeing the comics.
