New X-Men: Apocalypse Trailer Teases Quicksilver Sequence, an Awesome Psylocke, and the End of the World
Fox just dropped a new trailer for X-Men: Apocalypse, and it previews another Quicksilver slow-motion sequence, Psylocke doing crazy stunts and generally being a bad-ass, and Oscar Isaac's titular villain trying to kill billions of people and end the world as we know it. Okay, so it's not exactly a surprise that a villain with the name "Apocalypse" is trying to end the world, but it's still pretty damn exciting:

After the highly acclaimed slow-motion sequence in Days of Future Past, Evan Peters has teased an even "bigger" and "more detailed" Quicksilver sequence for Apocalypse. That sequence was the standout scene of Days of Future Past, and this scene, which Peters promises is longer and more epic, has the potential to be even more iconic than the first.

We also see Olivia Munn putting her extensive Psylocke training to good use, and a brief shot of Oscar Isaac before he becomes Apocalypse. To be honest, I almost wish we were just going to see Isaac in the film rather than the effects-heavy Apocalypse, who has been underwhelming so far, although it was pretty cool to finally see him grow to an awesome size in this trailer.

Opening quote
Following the critically acclaimed global smash hit X-Men: Days of Future Past, director Bryan Singer returns with X-MEN: APOCALYPSE. Since the dawn of civilization, he was worshipped as a god. Apocalypse, the first and most powerful mutant from Marvel's X-Men universe, amassed the powers of many other mutants, becoming immortal and invincible. Upon awakening after thousands of years, he is disillusioned with the world as he finds it and recruits a team of powerful mutants, including a disheartened Magneto (Michael Fassbender), to cleanse mankind and create a new world order, over which he will reign. As the fate of the Earth hangs in the balance, Raven (Jennifer Lawrence) with the help of Professor X (James McAvoy) must lead a team of young X-Men to stop their greatest nemesis and save mankind from complete destruction.
