Zack Snyder Reveals Details of Batman v Superman R-Rated Release
Batman v Superman hits theaters this weekend, and while we generally loved it, Zack Snyder's movie has been getting some harsh words from critics. Much of the criticism comes from a lack of cohesiveness and a few too many jumps in logic, but others have criticized Snyder's movie for being too long, and even a little dull. Such critics probably won't want to watch the planned R-Rated cut of Batman v Superman, which will add 30 minutes of footage to what is already a whopper of a movie.

With the premiere done and dusted, Snyder has taken the time to tease what will be added in the extended cut, which will be available when the movie hits home release platforms some time later this year. Judging from Snyder's comments, it sounds as though not all the new footage will be directly linked to the new R-rating, with a few extended action sequences and even a slightly longer ending.

Opening quote
"There's a little bit of action, there's a little bit of violence that we trimmed out for the MPAA that we put back," Snyder told Collider. "The Batman warehouse rescue, there's a couple shots of Doomsday that were too intense. Then there's a little bit longer ending, sort of the ending sequence, and the opening of the movie, the North Africa sequence is really much different."
Closing quote

We're personally looking forward to seeing what Doomsday sequences were too intense for the theatrical release, but it's the extending ending that's really intriguing us.
