Fan Poll: What Did You Think of Batman v Superman?
After approximately two years of insane hype, lots of fan objections, and even more fan defenses, Batman v Superman is finally out in theaters, and the reviews are--not good, to say the least. Critics pretty much despised it, and while there are some rumblings about a divide between fans and critics, the box office tells a different story, considering that Batman v Superman broke the record for biggest Friday-Sunday drop, beating out previous "winner," Fantastic Four.

So we want to hear what you think! Was Batman v Superman as bad as the critics are saying?

Here's my two cents, as a huge Batman fan and a fairly loyal DC fan (but also a big Zack Snyder detractor): it was f*cking terrible. Aside from the great performances, there really wasn't much to recommend about this movie. The plot was incoherent to the point of being laughable, the character development was either non-sensical or non-existent, the script was incredibly sexist (even by Zack Snyder standards), and it managed to go on for about two-and-a-half hours without doing or saying much of anything.

However, I would still personally rank it above Marvel's superhero team-ups, even though both Avengers and Avengers: Age of Ultron had a handle on the basics of plot and character development, if only because it had a few elements that were genuinely memorable. Ben Affleck's Batman was the best yet, in my opinion, Jeremy Irons made a wonderfully snarky Alfred, and Gal Godot's Wonder Woman stole the show whenever she was on screen. (I also liked Jesse Eisenberg's polarizing Lex Luthor, although I think his brand of villainy needed a better script in order to be really effective.) So even though this movie was incredibly clunky and a bad movie on its own, it did succeed in getting me excited for the Wonder Woman movie, and especially for the (Ben Affleck-directed?) solo Batman movie, so we can see more of this:

Now if only we could just get another director on Justice League.
