Surprise, Surprise: 'Gambit' Filming Delayed Again
When will the Cajun ever be able to start ragin'? That's the question X-Men fans are posing after Channing Tatum's Gambit movie has been postponed once again. The film was originally slated to premiere this October, but since it wasn't scheduled to start filming until this month, the release date was pulled in February. And now it doesn't look like the film isn't going to start filming anytime soon, either.

Director Doug Liman signed onto the film after previous director Rupert Wyatt left the project, and apparently the script needs work. A lot of work, apparently, as filming is now being pushed all the way back to the end of 2016. Keep in mind, that's later than the date that the movie was supposed to premiere in theaters as of just two months ago. It's been a rocky road for Gambit thus far, with the director shake up and even star Tatum threatening to jump ship at one point. No one would blame him now if he did, as Gambit seems to be cursed.

It's also worth mentioning that something else happened in February with Fox's Marvel properties: Deadpool. That film was a massive success, and the studio is likely looking into how they can capitalize on it more rather than rushing through a troubled and risky venture like Gambit. So sorry, Ragin' Cajun fans, but at this point we'd be surprised if the film ever sees the light of day.
