Jennifer Lawrence Says She's "Dying to Come Back" for More X-Men Movies
Jennifer Lawrence's contract is up after X-Men: Apocalypse, and the actress has been vocal about wanting to leave the franchise. But now, she seems to have changed her tune, as she said in a recent interview that she "loves" being in X-Men movies.

Opening quote
"I am dying to come back," Lawrence told Empire. "I love these movies, I love being in them. I love ensemble movies because it's not on anyone's shoulders."
Closing quote

This is definitely a change from her earlier statements, as she previously confirmed that Apocalypse was her "last one," and expressed the desire to perform in other projects (not to mention her hatred for the hours-long makeup routine she undergoes for Mystique). She said that she was open to a return eventually, but considering that she's been nominated for two Oscars since she started in the franchise, it would only make sense that she would want to move on at this point.

It's likely that Lawrence is just re-iterating her earlier sentiment that she "doesn't want to not be asked," and that she may come back for a small role in the future. But Apocalypse is clearly serving as the end of a trilogy started in First Class and setting up a new roster of mutants, which include Sophie Turner's Jean Grey, Tye Sheridan's Cyclops, and Alexandra Shipp's Storm. Michael Fassbender, James McAvoy, and Nicholas Hoult's contracts are all up as well, and while McAvoy "spoke casually on the set of 'the next one,'" and Magneto is a crucial character, I would be surprised if Mystique and Beast were back for another installment.

X-Men: Apocalypse hits theaters on May 27.
