Ben Affleck Has Written a Script for a Batman Movie
Although reception for Batman v Superman has been mixed, to say the least, a few elements of the film have been almost universally praised by critics and fans alike, including Gal Godot's Wonder Woman and, of course, Ben Affleck's Batman. We've been hoping that he would direct and/or write the solo Batman film for some time, and now, it looks like that might be in the cards. According to Affleck's longtime agent, the actor has written a script for a Batman movie, and it might be developed into a DCEU film.

In a wide-ranging interview with THR, co-CEO of William Morris Endeavor elaborated on the future of Ben Affleck's Batman:

Opening quote
Well, he's contracted to do at least Justice League One and Two, so at least three times wearing the cape. And there's a script that he's written that is a really cool [Batman] idea, so that's out there as an option.
Closing quote

Whitehall doesn't confirm that Affleck's script is actually going anywhere, of course, but we have reason to believe that it might be. Affleck strongly hinted yesterday that he's already working on a Batman movie with Geoff Johns, and there has been talk for months of DC making Affleck the go-to guy for the future of the franchise. And now that Batman v Superman is out and reviews for Batfleck are in, we would be very surprised if he wasn't at least heavily involved with the creativity behind the Batman movie. I hope he's actually the director and/or writer, or in lieu of that, now that fans are clamoring to get rid of Zack Snyder, just go ahead and make Affleck the director of Justice League.

Batman v Superman is now out in theaters, while the Batman solo film is scheduled to come out sometime in 2018.
