Poe Dameron didn't get much screentime in Star Wars: The Force Awakens, but he's quickly become a fan favorite. For fans who are dying to see more of the daring pilot, a new Marvel Comics series is coming out to flesh out his backstory to our hearts' desire.

Poe Dameron #1

The ongoing series will follow Poe as he investigates sites of historical importance to the Force, and has run-ins with the First Order. It will be written by Charles Soule and illustrated by Phil Noto, who gave StarWars.com a full commentary on each of the released pages, including lots of nerdy tidbits about drawing the X-Wing and the new Resistance helmets, not to mention the difficulty of drawing Poe himself:

Opening quote
I'm pretty happy with the Oscar Isaac likenesses on this page as he's incredibly tricky to draw. If you get his features just right, he's Oscar Issac, the movie star. If not, it can turn out looking like some weird, background character actor.
