The Flash Set Videos Reveal Katie Cassidy's Full Black Siren Costume
The news broke earlier this week that Katie Cassidy would be appearing on The Flash, but not as her Arrow character, Black Canary. Instead, she'll be appearing as the Earth-2 doppelganger of Laurel Lance, a vigilante who goes by the name Black Siren, and new set videos have revealed her full (and kind of awesome) costume:

The costume is similar to the Black Canary costume, except it's a little flashier and more ominous. Honestly, this character already seems more interesting than Laurel, especially since she seems like she could be a villain. It's already been established through Caitlin and Ronnie that Earth-2 counterparts of heroes can be villains, and it would be fun to see that happen with Laurel.

Black Siren was previously a character on the Justice League animated series. She was based on the Golden Age version of Laurel Lance, and lived in a parallel universe, so it's only fitting that she would appear in the Flash multiverse. In the series, she was a hero rather than a villain, but the series could easily depart from that, since it's not an extremely well-known character.

Possible spoilers ahead! (Click to reveal)

This guest appearance may also shed light on that character death that's coming tonight. Yesterday, Marc Guggenheim teased that "death is not goodbye," and hinted that the member of Team Arrow who dies may show up on The Flash or Legends of Tomorrow, White Canary-style. If Laurel is the one who dies, as set photos seemed to indicate, then Katie Cassidy could potentially move to Legends of Tomorrow, or even come back to Arrow, as Black Siren rather than Black Canary.
