New X-Men: Apocalypse Footage Released in Coldwell Banker Promos
This summer is going to be loaded with quite a few big comic book movies, such as Captain America: Civil War, Suicide Squad, and perhaps the least talked about, X-Men: Apocalypse.

Just because it hasn't been getting the attention that Batman v Superman or Civil War have doesn't mean that it won't be a worth while flick, though. The X-Men legacy is particularly strong and has a pretty favorable track record, aside from a couple blunders, which are expected for a franchise that's lasted almost two decades. Now, the studio has released some additional footage for the film, integrated into promotions issued by Coldwell Banker:

Fox seems to have taken a page from DC and WB, as these promos (especially the "home of the month" one) are in the same vein as Batman v Superman's Turkish Airlines promo, speaking of Professor Xavier and his school for gifted youngsters as if it were reality. As those promos were one of the only things that the marketing campaign for BvS had going for it, it's easy to see why Fox would want to do something similar.

The footage itself isn't anything too revealing or groundbreaking, but that's certainly a good thing - they should be saving that material for the movie itself. There are some cool shots of the grounds, though, as well as a few shots from certain fight scenes. New clips with Nightcrawler and Psylocke are revealed as well, which is unsurprising as both of those mutants have relatively strong fan bases.

Fox's X-Men films have largely been worthwhile and interesting, but they did hit a low point in 2006 and 2009 with X-Men: The Last Stand and X-Men Origins: Wolverine. Let's hope that that was just a rough spot in the history of X-Men movies and that history doesn't repeat itself. Fingers crossed!

X-Men: Apocalypse hits theaters on May 27th.
