Watch: Everything Wrong with Star Wars: The Force Awakens
Star Wars: The Force Awakens was the highest-grossing movie of 2015, and arguably the best Star Wars movie since Empire Strikes Back. But that doesn't mean it was without its sins, so CinemaSins called out every single one of its flaws--some significant, some nitpicky--in this 17-minute video:

Some of these objections we've heard many times before--mostly the ones about re-hashing the original trilogy--and some have been explained or likely will be explained in the Expanded Universe, or in future movies for that matter. (In particular, they object to the fact that Luke went into hiding but "left a map," when the "map" was actually part of his research to find the Jedi temple.) But others are pretty spot-on, like the ridiculously melodramatic dialogue between Han and Leia ("Star Wars: General Hospital"), the First Order's questionable strategy for finding the map, and most of all, the many plot contrivances. Everyone and everything seemed to be in exactly the right place at the right time, and while some of that will be explained in the EU, some of it is just for convenience.

But don't worry, CinemaSins are still Star Wars fans, as they take off sins for "awesomeness" way more than usual. They take off for BB-8's adorable thumbs-up, even while acknowledging that the character is a blatant bid to sell toys, and while Rey's bad-assery sometimes reaches the level of a plothole (depending on how they explain it in future movies), it's still worth a bunch of points.

But hands-down, the funniest and snarkiest part of this whole video is the description: "Sins of last year's second-best film costarring Oscar Isaac and Domhnall Gleeson." YUP.
