New Star Trek Beyond Images Tease the Crew's New Starship
We've still got a little while to wait before the next trailer comes out, but we do now at least have a new series of images from Justin Lin's Star Trek Beyond. Emerging online via the Chinese Check, the series of moody images you see below give us a closer look at the new Starfleet uniforms and what appears to be the new Starship that the crew will, at least temporarily, be calling home.

We don't know much about the plot for Star Trek Beyond, but one thing we're all fairly certain on is the fact that Kirk will be up to his old tricks and losing/destroying/catastrophically damaging the USS Enterprise. This leaves the crew in need of a replacement, and it appears that it is the bridge of this replacement that we find the likes of Kirk, Spock, (and Justin Lin?) standing on in the above images.

Earlier this year, backers of the Star Trek Omaze fundraising campaign received an early look at some concept art, which appeared to show off the crew's new ride. Seen below (via TrekCore, the concept art shows off an older model starship called the USS Franklin.

Exactly how the Crew end upon the Franklin is yet to be made clear, but hopefully we'll get a little more insight when the movie's next trailer comes out after it's debuted at a special Paramount Fan Event on May 20th.

Star Trek Beyond is released in theaters on July 22nd
