Rumor: These Villains Will Appear in Ben Affleck's Batman Movie
After Batman v Superman, many fans are hesitant about embracing Zack Snyder's Justice League films, but everyone's excited about Ben Affleck's solo Batman movie. And if early rumors are to be believed, we'll have many more reasons to get excited, as pretty much every Batman villain you can think of is going to make an appearance.

According to a new report from Birth.Movies.Death., Ben Affleck's Batman movie will include all of the most iconic villains from Batman's Rogues' Gallery:
Opening quote
Many, if not most, members of Batman's rogue's [sic] gallery will be making appearances in the film. It's going to be crammed with Bat villains, which means that just about every major bad guy you've ever wanted to see in a movie will be in this movie. According to my sources Affleck and Geoff Johns, who has been working with him on the film, want to make the definitive Batman film. They want to tell the ultimate Batman story, and to do so they're going to bring in all the big guns. They're going to have a big, sprawling Bat universe already in place.
Closing quote

This sounds very ambitious, and I would hope that they would be focusing on one villain, while most of the others are just cameos. Arkham Asylum would be an easy way to show many of the classic villains all together, without spending too much time developing each one until future movies. If this report is true, then I would guess we can count on seeing Jared Leto's Joker and Margot Robbie's Harley Quinn, as well as several other villains, most of whom would overlap with previous films or Gotham: Penguin, Riddler, Catwoman, Ra's Al Ghul, Poison Ivy, Two-Face, Hush, Scarecrow, Victor Zsasz, and Mister Freeze, to name a few. In fact, many of those names have already been confirmed to exist in the DCEU by a promotional magazine released earlier this year as part of Batman v Superman's marketing campaign.

But who will the main villain be? After those hints that Robin was killed by Joker in Batman v Superman, there has been speculation that Robin will come back to life as the villainous Red Hood (and Warner Bros. added fuel to the fire by apparently confirming Robin is Jason Todd). We still don't know whether that's true or not, but I hope it is, since any villain would have trouble living up to Heath Ledger's Joker, and the emotional heft would help significantly. But if I had to pick another villain, it would probably be Victor Zsasz, as a relatively grounded serial killer would play to Ben Affleck's strengths as a gritty, realistic filmmaker.
