Jason Momoa Shows His Inner Aquaman With ‘Rezpect Our Water’ Picture
Jason Momoa just proved why he deserves to be the King of Atlantis in this new picture, supporting "Rezpect Our Water," a cause dedicated to stopping the construction of the Dakota Access Pipeline due to its potential to pollute and destroy the surrounding waters and environment.

Momoa's casting was initially met with a bit of criticism, as he doesn't look much like the white blonde guy that's been featured in all the Aquaman comic books beginning from the character's inception. However, it makes sense that a Pacific Islander like Momoa should portray the King of the Seven Seas, and the change adds greater diversity to the team. If anyone still had any doubts about him, they should be gone now that Momoa's made it his personal mission to protect the planet's water. That's exactly the kind of thing one would expect from a guy called Aquaman.

As can be seen from the picture, Momoa is sporting his Aquman tats, as the picture was evidently taken on the set of Justice League. Momoa's Aquaman made a brief appearance in a video clip in Batman v Superman, but fans will get a fuller taste of Arthur Curry and his trident in Justice League Part 1, coming to theaters in November, 2017. An Aquaman solo film is planned for the following year and will be directed by James Wan.
