Star Wars Anthology Movie Casts Young Han Solo
After an extensive search, we finally have our young Han Solo. Alden Ehrenreich, best known for YA adaptation Beautiful Creatures, Woody Allen's Blue Jasmine, and Coen Brothers film Hail, Caesar!, is officially stepping into Harrison Ford's humongous shoes.

The announcement comes after a massive casting search that seemed to include every white brunette up-and-coming actor in Hollywood, including semi-finalists Dave Franco, Miles Teller, Ansel Algort, and Brooklyn's Emory Cohen. It was recently revealed that Ehrenreich had made the final shortlist, along with Kingsman's Taron Egerton and Transformers: Age of Extinction actor Jack Reynor.

Although it's dubious whether we want/need a Han Solo prequel, Ehrenreich seems like a great choice. Of all of the finalists, he might look the most like Ford, and arguably has the least association with another franchise, since Beautiful Creatures was pretty much a flop. As much as we love Miles Teller and Emory Cohen, he'll be able to embody the role for the audience better than a more well-known actor who is heavily linked with other roles.

The Han Solo prequel film is set to come out in theaters on May 25, 2018.
