X-Men: Apocalypse Post-Credits Scene Teases Wolverine 3 and a New Character
X-Men: Apocalypse is coming out in only two weeks, and although there have been a few early screenings, there's still a never-before-seen post-credits scene that was withheld from critics and fans. In a recent interview with Collider, writer/producer Simon Kinberg revealed that we'll see teasers for several films in the larger X-Men cinematic universe:

Opening quote
"It's a nod toward potentially a lot of different movies. I mean certainly the Wolverine movie is related to what happens at the end of it, but there's also another character that's introduced, at least in name, in the tag and he could show up in any host of different X-Men films. Maybe a Gambit movie, maybe another X-Men movie."
Closing quote

Hugh Jackman's cameo has been well-documented, but it looks like we'll get to see even more of him in the post-credits teaser, and possibly get some insight into the Wolverine 3 movie. We know that it will be R-rated, and it has been described as "violent" and "a western in tone," but we don't know any plot details yet. Of course, we're all hoping it will be an adaptation of Old Man Logan, and that seems pretty likely at this point, but it would be pretty exciting if we found out for sure after X-Men: Apocalypse comes out in theaters.

But even more intriguing is the prospect of a new character, one who will show up in several X-Men movies. It may be Gambit himself, since we know that Channing Tatum has already been cast, but there's also a possibility that the character will be connected for the New Mutants movie, as casting is well underway for that film as well. And judging from the recently revealed line-up, and the fact that Kinberg referred to the character as "he," it would be Sunspot, Cannonball, or Warlock.
