Michael B. Jordan Cast in Marvel's Black Panther
Michael B. Jordan is making a return to comic book movies (hopefully a better one this time). The Fantastic Four and Creed star just joined Black Panther alongside Chadwick Boseman and Lupita Nyong'o, who is in negotiations to play T'Challa's love interest.

This will mark the third time Jordan and director Ryan Coogler have worked together, as Coogler also helmed the 2012 indie Fruitvale Station, for which Jordan received massive acclaim, as well as last year's Rocky reboot Creed. No details about his role have been officially revealed, but one source told THR that it will be a villain.

This is great news. Fantastic Four might have been terrible, but that had nothing to do with Jordan, who is an amazing actor and has been praised by critics in every serious role he's had, from Fruitvale Station and Creed to The Wire and Friday Night Lights. And if Black Panther turns out as well as Jordan's last two collaborations with Coogler, we'll have nothing to worry about.

Black Panther is set for release on February 2, 2018.
